Flying Scottish visit

The month of August concluded brightly with the Made for Life team training 10 brilliant spa therapists from Blythswood Square Hotel Spa Glasgow, in Cancer Touch Therapy.

The spa team were truly exceptional and we have no doubt that when the new treatment menu launches, the standard of Made for Life treatments offered will be nothing short of excellent.

Not only did the team receive training in specific spa protocols, Amanda Barlow, MD (and Queen of Hugs) carried out some mindfulness sessions with the team which reminded the super-busy therapists to take a moment to “catch the breath”.

The spa sits within the exquisite and iconic Blythswood Spa Hotel which is one of the city’s most luxurious hotels.  The hotel and spa carry a contemporary feel whilst celebrating its Georgian architecture.  The spa itself is warm, welcoming and luxurious.  The spa team are happy and knowledgeable and we certainly felt we were among friends by the time we left.

Whilst in Scotland, Amanda and Laura popped over to Edinburgh to catch up with some old friends and business colleagues.  Cups of tea and business plans were shared with One Spa at Sheraton Grand Hotel and The Rocco Forte Balmoral Hotel and some tea and therapy was enjoyed with some great friends and potential new colleagues.

The Made for Life training team – Amanda, Marc and Laura – were all so proud of the Blythswood Spa team as they all passed first time with flying colours.  They can’t wait to re-visit in October during Cancer Awareness Month to see how it is all going.  Marc is particularly pleased because on this very journey he overcame his fear of flying!  Well done, Marc!

With love and hugs, the MFL team xx
